Acer Aspire laptops with Ryzen 5000 CPUs have a starting price of 699 euros

Acer announces new iterations of its Aspire 7 and Aspire 5 laptops with Ryzen 5000 processors. The Aspire 7 versions get a GTX 1650 video card and cost at least 899 euros. The Aspire 5 is equipped with a Radeon RX 640 GPU and costs from 699 euros.

Acer does not mention type numbers of the Ryzen 5000 processors used in the Aspire laptops. It is likely that it concerns 15W CPUs from the 5000U series. This can be either processors with Zen 2 cores or Zen 3 cores. AMD announced its Ryzen 5000 laptop processors on Tuesday.

Both laptops will have a 15.6″ screen with a full HD resolution and 16:9 ratio. The Acer Aspire 7 A715-42 has a maximum of 32GB DDR4 memory and weighs a minimum of 2.15kg. The Aspire 5 contains a maximum of 24GB RAM This laptop is 18mm thick. Acer puts NVMe SSDs with a capacity of up to 1TB in the laptops and there will also be Aspire 5 versions with 2TB HDD.

Acer expects the new Aspire laptops to be available ‘in the first half of the second quarter’. The Aspire 7 has a starting price of 899 euros and the Aspire 5 costs at least 699 euros. It is not known what configuration buyers get for that money.
