Acer announces a 24.5″ monitor with a 360Hz panel. This makes it the third manufacturer to announce such a screen. Asus already did that at the beginning of this year and Alienware followed later. When the 360Hz screens actually come out, it is not yet known.

Acer stuffs the 360Hz panel into its Predator X25 monitor. It is a 24.5″ monitor with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels and a G-Sync module. The monitor has a sensor that measures the ambient light and adjusts the brightness and color temperature accordingly. The screen is on an adjustable foot and can also be tilted ninety degrees.

More details are not yet known, but the screen is believed to be based on the same panel as the Asus ROG Swift 360Hz monitor, which was demonstrated at CES in January, and the Alienware AW2521H, which Dell announced in May. These are all 24.5″ monitors with a 360Hz panel and G-Sync. Presumably the manufacturers all use the same panel; Acer, Asus and Dell do not make panels themselves. LCD manufacturers do not yet have information about 360Hz panels to brought out Dell says it is an IPS panel.

When the Predator X25 will be released and what Acer’s 360Hz screen will cost has not yet been announced. Also, Asus and Dell have not yet given any details about the price and availability of their 360Hz monitor.

Acer also announces the Predator XB3 series of monitors. It contains monitors of 31.5″, 27″ and 24.5″. The screens are G-Sync compatible, have a refresh rate of up to 240Hz, GTG response time of 0.5ms and 4k resolution. This probably only applies to the highest-ranking model, Acer has not yet disclosed individual specifications. The cheapest model in the XB3 series costs 439 euros and will be released in August.
