Acer has officially announced the 5600U all-in-one PC. The device comes with a 23″ multi-touch screen and a processor from Intel’s Ivy Bridge series. A price and a release date of the new all-in-one are not yet available.
Customers can choose between a Core i3 or Core i5 processor when purchasing, according to the press release that has been sent to various media. In addition to multitouch, the 23 “screen has a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. In addition, the ram is up to 8GB, while storage capacity is no more than 1TB. Optionally, an SSD can be chosen, which only contains 20GB of storage space.
The 5600U also features a TV tuner, with support for DVB-T standard. Built-in is a 2-megapixel webcam that records 1080p video and provides users with an HDMI input and output. Furthermore, there are two USB 3.0 ports, three USB 2.0 ports, Ethernet and a card reader built-in. Windows 8 is included as an operating system.
Acer had previously shown its new all-in-one PC at the Computex fair, but did not reveal much about the specifications. Incidentally, the manufacturer has still not released anything about prices and availability, but it is likely that the release will follow soon.
