Acer also comes with Radeon video card with two different types of fans
Acer brings another video card to the market with its unusual cooling design. Just like the Arc A770 BiFrost, the new RX 7600 Predator BiFrost has a ‘blower’ fan and an ‘axial’ fan. For now, the card can only be found in Acer Taiwan’s online store.
It’s about a AMD Radeon RX 7600 and an overclocked variant thereof. The RX 7600 has 8GB of GDDR6 memory, a PCI-Express 4.0 bus and gets extra power from a single eight-pin PCI-Express power connection. The design is two slots thick. The RX 7600 performs about the same as a GeForce RTX 4060, without including ray tracing and upscaling in that comparison. It is not known if and when this card will come to Europe.
Computerbase signs up that the unusual design with the two types of fans is visually striking, but not in terms of performance. Not in a negative, but also not in a positive sense. That certainly applied to the Acer Predator BiFrost Arc A770.
In May, during Computex, Acer announced that it plans to launch Radeon and GeForce video cards. This makes it one of the few manufacturers that produces these three brands simultaneously.
