Facebook currently has 1.55 billion users who log in at least once every month. About 90 percent of them log in every month via a mobile device, around 10 percent only use Facebook via a desktop or laptop.

Of the 1.55 billion users who come monthly, 1.01 billion users come every day. Facebook made this known during the presentation of its quarterly figures. This means that the number of daily users has increased by 17 percent compared to a year ago.

The vast majority of users access the social network on a mobile basis. About 1.39 billion do that every month. This means that the number of people who only use Facebook via desktop and laptop remains at 160 million.

Less than half of monthly Facebook users also use Messenger. That number came to 700 million. That is less than the 900 million users of WhatsApp, the messaging service that also belongs to Facebook. Instagram, the photo service that took over the social network a few years ago, now has around 400 million users. A user posts an average of 0.2 photos per day on Instagram.

At the Facebook group, turnover increased by about 40 percent to about 4.5 billion dollars, currently converted around 4.15 billion euros. Profits rose 10 percent to nearly $900 million.
