Aaeon has released a single-board computer called The Next-V2K8. The computer is equipped with an AMD Ryzen Embedded V2718 or an AMD Ryzen Embedded V2516 soc. The sbc includes 16GB lpddr4 memory as standard, measures 86 by 55mm – the size of a Raspberry Pi sbc – and is available from $ 1150.

Both CPU versions of the single-board computer are built with the Zen2 architecture, contain eight cores and can handle sixteen threads. Their maximum tdp is according to Aeon at 25W. Via the built-in Radeon graphics, the board can simultaneously control two screens with a 4k resolution and 30 frames per second. The board has both an HDMI 1.4b and an embedded DisplayPort connection for this.

Despite its small size, the board contains two Gbit/s Ethernet ports. A first can handle 2.5 Gbit/s, a second 1 Gbit/s. Six USB ports are also provided, two of which are UBB3.2 Gen2, the remaining four are USB 2.0 ports that must be connected via a header. A SATA3 slot and an M.2-2280 SSD slot are provided with support for PCIe. Aaeon also installed two RS232/422/485 pin headers on the board. The edition with the AMD V2516-soc will retail from $1,150. The version with the AMD V2718-soc should cost $ 1,317. The company also makes SBCs in the same format with Intel processors on-board.
