A Plague Tale Gets 4k60 Upgrade For Xbox Series X And PS5 And Coming To Switch
A Plague Tale: Innocence will receive a free upgrade for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S consoles on July 6. The game will run at 60fps, get enhanced visual effects and support for 3D audio. The game runs in 4k resolution on the Series X and PS5.
In addition to the upgrade for the new consoles, A Plague Tale: Innocence is also coming to the Nintendo Switch as a cloud game, publisher Focus Home Interactive reports. The game first came out in 2019 and the console version is running at 30fps so far.
The announcement of the improved version of A Plague Tale: Innocence follows a few days after the announcement of the successor; A Plague Tale: Requiem. That new game will be released in 2022 and is being developed for the new consoles and PC and also comes to the Switch as a cloud game.
The upgrade is free for owners of the game. The game is also part of Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass subscription and the new game will also be part of that subscription service immediately upon release.
