Download WSUS Offline Update 10.5.0

Version 10.5 of WSUS Offline Update has been released. This program makes it possible to provide Windows computers that have no or a slow internet connection with the latest updates from Microsoft. Simply checking one or more operating systems, office suites and languages ​​will download all available updates from Microsoft’s ftp server. When the updates are in, an ISO file is optionally made per language or per operating system. Other computers can then be updated quickly and easily via a CD or DVD. Since version 10.0 there is also support for Windows 10 and Server 2016. In this release the following changes and improvements have been made:

• Flexible multi-stage updating option added
• UpdateInstaller script will now show popup information for mandatory installation of most recent Internet Explorer on Windows Vista, 7 and Server 2008(R2) (x86/x64) systems
• Replaced superseded Windows Update Client December 2015 (kb3112343/kb3112336) for Windows 7 / 8.1 (x86/x64) and Server 2008/2012 R2 by Windows Update Client February 2016 (kb3135445/kb3135449)
• Replaced superseded scan prerequisite update kb3124000 (MS16-005) by kb3134214 (MS16-018)
• Static update definitions may be updated while downloading
• Excluded obsolete dynamic updates for Office XP and 2003
• Introduced file ..\exclude\custom\ExcludeListForce-all.txt to exclude even statically defined updates from download
• Fix: Updates for .NET Framework 4.5.x won’t be excluded any longer
• Fix: ISO and USB filters refined to exclude unused .NET Framework updates
• Fix: DoUpdate.cmd script will now also enable/disable service ‘Windows Update’ (wuauserv) on demand
• Fix: Windows Defender definition files were attempted to be updated even if Windows Defender was disabled II
