EA will not release Apex Legends for Nintendo Switch until next year

That says the publisher in an update on its website . More time is needed to finish the port of Apex Legends for Nintendo Switch, after the team working on development has fallen behind. That is why the game will not be released for the Switch until next year, but a precise release date is not yet available.
EA originally planned to release the battle royal game for Nintendo Switch in the fall, the company announced in June. Then the publisher also announced that cross-play will be possible, so that users of the Switch can also play together with other platforms.
The planned release on Steam will continue: according to EA, the release date has been set to November 4. Those who previously played on Origin can take the in-game progression with them to the Steam release.
