Existing GTA V players get extra content on new consoles

GTA V players who previously purchased the game for the PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360 will receive access to exclusive content with an upgrade to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One or PC. These include rewards, events, weapons and vehicles.

Rockstar released the extra content for returning users on Tuesday afternoon. New events and challenges have been added to the game, unlocking exclusive new vehicles and planes. The developer himself calls the so-called Stock Car Races, where unique Muscle Cars can be earned.

A special murder mystery has been written for the character Michael. The player must follow clues to solve the mystery. The character Franklin can discover several new animal species. If he succeeds, a new submarine is earned. There is no mention of quests created specifically for Trevor.

According to Rockstar, the update is not console-specific. According to the developer, all platforms, including the PC, are eligible for the exclusive content. Exclusive content previously included with the Special Edition or Collector’s Edition will also be carried over. The character played online on the last-gen version can also be transferred once.
