Apple Music for Android gets Chromecast support
The Android version of Apple Music has gained support for using the Google Chromecast. This means that users can now directly use the music service to play music on, for example, a TV or speakers.
The functionality works as usual, according to a description from Apple and the short update information of the music app in the Play Store. Once the phone or tablet to be used and a compatible Chromecast device are connected to the same Wi-Fi network, the Chromecast icon can be found in the Apple Music app. By pressing it, the desired Chromecast can be selected on which the music should be played.
The new functionality, previously available in the beta version of Apple Music, should work not only with Chromecast dongle-connected devices, but also Google Home and Assistant devices.
In addition to this addition, the music service now also has a dark mode and real-time lyrics. Furthermore, users get access to worldwide live radio stations.
