Modders Discover Oculus Rift Support for Alien: Isolation

A number of modders have discovered that the survival game Alien: Isolation does support the Oculus Rift. They came across the necessary code and then published a step-by-step plan on the internet with which the VR device can be set up.

A step-by-step plan has been published on Reddit, explaining how others can configure the VR glasses for the game. The message has received multiple updates on the progress of the process. There would still be some bugs when using the Oculus Rift, but otherwise the game would run relatively smoothly.

Alien: Isolation was released on Tuesday for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC. The player is Amanda, who is investigating her mother’s disappearance. The main character has been transferred to the Sevastopol space station, but the ship appears to have already been infiltrated by an alien that cannot be killed. It is therefore up to the player to survive by fighting off the alien.
