Blizzard confirms Hearthstone expansion with over 100 new game cards
The online card game Hearthstone gets more than a hundred new game cards. The game from developer Blizzard will be slightly overhauled during the next update and the plan is to roll out more new content in the future.
Hearthstone will receive more than a hundred new game cards, director Jason Chayes confirmed in an interview with Polygon. There has been talk of an expansion that would follow, but it is still unknown when exactly that will happen. A central theme should lead to cohesion in the game. The adjustments in the game should also be interesting for both experienced and relatively new players. Blizzard would pay a lot of attention to the influence that an update has on the gameplay. With more than a hundred new cards, the company says it has a good starting point for future developments.
The Curse of Naxxramas expansion was released in July. In total, thirty new maps and some new single player missions were added to the game. There would be some more ideas for new game modes that would allow gamers to play in a different way. However, that’s not what the company is aiming for in the near term, as it wants to focus first on the modes that are already available at the moment.
In Hearthstone, players must use the powers of their cards to defeat other players or virtual opponents. In this way, game coins are earned, with which purchases can be made. In addition, microtransactions are possible. The game is currently available on PC, Mac and iPad. There will also be a version for iPhones and Android devices, but Blizzard has not yet announced a release date. About twenty million people are already registered.
