Google+ users can set age and location limits

Google+ users have been given the option to shield their content based on age or location. For example, they can only make certain postings accessible to visitors who have indicated that they are 18 years or older.

Both pages and entire profiles can now be protected. According to Yonatan Zunger, chief architect for Google+, many users asked for the ability to set an “age and location fence.” Not only would users want this to control who can access their information, but also because of legal restrictions in their country.

The users can set the restrictions in their profile settings. At ‘Target Audience’ under ‘Audience’ they can choose whether only readers 18 and older or 21 and older are allowed to view the content. In addition, they can determine from which countries the profile or pages may be viewed.
