Google has announced its own event to be held in New York City on October 15. At this so-called Made By Google event, Google will probably show the new Pixel smartphones, among other things.

Google spokesperson Rachid Fingere, among others, has on Twitter this date of the Made by Google event confirmed, but there is no further information to be extracted about what the company will announce, for example. In view of the name Made by Google, it is in any case an event involving hardware. The date doesn’t come out of the blue; Android Central previously published a render by Evan Blass showing the suspected front of the Pixel 4 with October 15 as the date.

The company has sent invitations to all kinds of media that were accompanied by an animation, although little can be derived from this. The website 9to5google, among others, shows the animation and the accompanying invitation, which says that people can “see some new things made by Google”. The event can be followed via a live stream on YouTube.

Quite a few details about the Pixel 4 smartphones have already come out in the past period, including through recent hands-on videos. These videos confirm information from previous rumors, namely that the Pixel 4 XL will get a Snapdragon 855, with 6GB of RAM and a 6.23″ screen with a resolution of 3040×1440 pixels. It is also assumed that the screen has a refresh rate of 90Hz.
