The image of the Canon EOS 7D Mark II has been published on the Digicame info website. The site also provides a number of specifications. The camera will have a 20.2-megapixel CMOS sensor and a 65-point autofocus system. The new dslr from Canon, which will probably be presented soon at the Photokina fair, also contains two Digic 6 image processors and ITR EOS autofocus. The light sensitivity is specified at a maximum of ISO 16,000.

Canon would have made the magnesium body of the dslr dustproof and ‘weatherproof’. A GPS module is also integrated, but there is no mention of WiFi. The Canon EOS 7D Mark II can shoot video at up to 1080p resolutions at up to 60 frames per second and have a burst rate of 10 frames per second when shooting stills.

Details on pricing and available kits have not yet been disclosed. The EOS 7D Mark II should follow the successful Canon EOS 7D, a dslr that has been on the market for five years now.
