What exactly happened?

CNN and The Washington Post wrote on Tuesday about a whistleblower at Twitter. That whistleblower is Peiter Zatko, who is also known by the nickname Mudge and is a well-known hacker. He was the former head of security at Twitter and was fired from the company in January of this year. The official reason for his dismissal, according to Twitter, is his poor performance. Zatko sent a letter to the US Securities and Exchanges Commission, or SEC, the stock market regulator a month ago. CNN and The Washington Post now also own them, although they have not published them. One of the reasons Zatko went to the SEC is because he would be a whistleblower claims protection and financial aid. This is confirmed by a letter his lawyers wrote last month and has now become public.
