Logitech has announced the bluetooth Multi-Device Keyboard K480, a wireless keyboard suitable for desktop computers, tablets and smartphones. There is a holder in the keyboard to place a tablet or smartphone.

According to Logitech, the K480 is a “universal” keyboard that works with any device that supports bluetooth. The keyboard housing has a slot in which smartphones and tablets can be placed. Mobile devices up to 10.5mm thick and 258mm wide are supported.

The 820 gram K480 keyboard has a keyboard shortcut layout that Logitech says makes working with OS X, Chrome OS, Windows, Android and iOS easier. You can choose from three Bluetooth profiles via a rotary knob on the keyboard. Two AAA batteries must be installed in the keyboard housing. Logitech uses a suggested retail price of 49.99 euros for the K480. The keyboard is available immediately.

Logitech also announced a new wireless mouse. The Wireless Mouse M280 has an asymmetrical shape with rounded soft rubber grips. The M280 three-button mouse works in conjunction with Logitech’s nano receiver and, according to the manufacturer, will last 18 months on a battery charge under normal use.
