Sony to release new PlayStation Plus subscriptions in Europe on June 22
Sony reveals that PlayStation Plus Essential, Extra and Premium are coming to Europe on June 22. The release of the game subscriptions has even been brought forward to May 23 in most of Asia. Europe is the last region where the service will be rolled out.
In addition let Sony know extend the streaming capabilities of the Plus Premium subscription to more European countries, including Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Greece, Hungary and Poland. In addition, streaming games with the most expensive Plus subscription will be possible from June 22 in all countries where PlayStation Now is currently available. This also includes the Benelux.
The merger of PlayStation Now and Plus consists of three options, Sony announced at the end of March. PlayStation Plus Essential, Extra and Premium cost respectively 8.99, 13.99 and 16.99 euros per month. The Essential plan is the same as the current Plus plan. With PlayStation Plus Extra, customers also get access to a library of 400 recent games.
With the Premium subscription, customers get access to an additional 300 older games and the ability to stream games via the cloud. The cloud gaming can be done via a PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and PC.
