Rumor: HTC smartwatch coming next month
HTC’s suspected smartwatch may hit shelves next month. The Taiwanese manufacturer releases the wearable, which is reportedly called HTC CWZ, in Europe and America, among other places.
Which reports the relatively new @Upleaks Friday, which previously also put details of the G Watch online that turned out to be correct. According to the insider behind the Chinese Twitter account, the HTC smartwatch will appear in North America, Japan, Brazil and Korea in addition to Europe. Nevertheless, this is a new ‘telephone good’ and the reliability of Upleaks is still uncertain.
The rumors about an upcoming smartwatch from HTC are becoming more persistent. Last month, an image appeared online that should give an indication of what the suspected smartwatch will look like. That image was posted online by Evleaks, which typically provided reliable information about unannounced mobile devices. However, Evleaks stops.
According to the latest information, the watch strap from the Taiwanese manufacturer is made of metal and the screen of the watch is square. Presumably, the smartwatch runs on Android Wear, Google’s custom operating system intended for wearables. HTC has so far not responded to rumors and it seems unlikely that the manufacturer will confirm this rumor.
