Sega announces new Yakuza game
Japanese publisher Sega has announced a new game in the Yakuza series. The game is called Yakuza Zero: Chikai no Basho, which in English means Yakuza Zero: The Place of Oath. It is not yet known when the game will be released.
Apart from the title, not much is known about Yakuza Zero: The Place of Oath, about which a teaser website has since come online. It is clear that Sega will bring the game to the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4, IGN reports. When that will happen, however, is not yet known, nor is it whether or not the game will appear simultaneously in Japan and Europe. It is common in the Yakuza series for the games to be released first in Japan and later translated into English and released in Europe.
Nothing is known about the content of Yakuza Zero: The Place of Oath either. The Yakuza series has many spin-offs and stories that are independent of each other, so it cannot be assumed that this game will have anything to do with the previous versions. More information about the upcoming action game is likely to be announced at the Tokyo Game Show, which will be held from September 18 to 21.
