The French publisher Ubisoft will probably release Assassin’s Creed: Rogue for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 this fall. It is not clear whether the game will also come to PC. The game will build on the storyline of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag.

Rogue’s existence is said to be revealed by some leaked images posted online by Assassin’s Creed fansite Access the Animus showing that this is the second Assassin’s Creed game that Ubisoft has planned for this fall. From the images it can be concluded that Assassin’s Creed: Rogue will have a similar setting to Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag. Players will thus once again be presented with a gameplay on land and at sea, and once again be able to explore a large area of sea. The images show an Xbox 360 version, but it is obvious that there will also be a PS3 version; until now this has always happened with games from the series that were released for Xbox 360. Whether the game will also come to other platforms such as PC is unknown at the moment.

That Ubisoft was working on separate Assassin’s Creed games for the newer and older generation consoles had already been leaked and the company confirmed it. Then Paris-set Assassin’s Creed: Untiy was announced for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, but the older console project, which went through life under the working title Assassin’s Creed: Comet, was still missing.

The information about Assassin’s Creed: Rogue is currently only available in leaked images posted by Facebook page Access the Animus. Ubisoft itself has indicated that it does not want to respond to rumors, but it is expected that the French company will officially announce the game in the run-up to the Gamescom game fair, which will be organized next week in Cologne.
