Dell Introduces New Alienware Aurora Desktop and 55″ OLED Monitor
Dell has announced a series of new products for gamers that it will release under its subsidiary brand Alienware, among others. The company releases the Alienware Aurora R9 and G5 5090 desktops and introduces a 55″ monitor with OLED panel.
Dell is announcing the products on the occasion of gamescom, which takes place this week in Cologne. In contrast to the straight Aurora R8, the Aurora R9 has an oval design. Users can open the housing toolless to change the video card, for example. A strip on the front and the logo on the side are illuminated with LEDs and the user can set the colors themselves. The desktop PC will be available with Intel’s Core i7-9700K and i9-9900K, and Nvidia’s RTX 2080, as well as the AMD Radeon RX 5700 and RX 5700 XT, among others. Alienware uses overclocked HyperX-ddr4 for the systems. There will also be entry-level models with a Core i5 and GTX 1650, which will be sold under a thousand dollars at least in the US.
Dell releases the G5 desktop system under its own name. This is a less striking game computer that, for example, does not support water cooling or an overclocked processor, but is optionally equipped with blue lighting and a frame on the side. According to Dell, there is easy access to the hardware to make changes. In its most extensive configuration, the computer gets a Core i9-9900K, GeForce RTX 2080 and 64GB ram, but there are many configuration options. For example, in cheaper versions, the G5 gets a Core i3-9100 and a GTX 1660 TI or Radeon 560X.
Dell will also make the OLED monitor with 55″ screen announced at the beginning of this year available in one month. In addition to the resolution of 3840×2160 pixels, the Alienware 55 offers a refresh rate of 120Hz and a maximum brightness of 400cd/m². and a displayport 1.4 interface, as well as a usb gen1 hub, 3.5mm audio and s/pdif.The monitor has two 14W speakers and LEDs on the back.Dell will start sales in the US on September 30th for a price of $ 4000. It is not yet known what the European release date and price will be.

The keyboard comes in white and black on the US market for $160. The $100 AW310K is a simpler variant with white lighting and Cherry MX Red switches. Details about a European introduction are again not yet available.
Finally, there are three new mice: the AW310M, AW510M and AW610M. The AW310M is a wireless mouse that would last three hundred hours with its single AA battery. There are six programmable buttons and the sensor offers a sensitivity of 12,000dpi. The price is 63 dollars. The AW510M is a wired mouse with ten programmable buttons and a 16,000dpi sensor.
