Rumor: Nikon presents Z6 and Z7 full-frame system camera on August 23
According to the Nikon Rumors website, on August 23, Nikon presents two different, new system cameras with a full frame sensor. It would be the Nikon Z6 and the Z7. The Z6 has a sensor with a resolution of 24 megapixel, while the Z7 has a 45-megapixel sensor. The Z6 and the Z7 differ according to Nikon Rumors in the same way as with Sony the A7 or the A7S and the A7R are positioned: The Z6 would be more intended for fast action photography and low-light conditions; with a previously released teaser Nikon seemed to point out the abilities for shooting in the dark. The Z7, on the other hand, like the Sony A7R, is mainly intended for taking high-resolution photos.
Nikon confirmed in late July that it is working on a camera with a full frame sensor. In addition, the Japanese manufacturer announced that the system camera gets a new lens mount and that new lenses are developed for this lens mount. Nikon did not give more details. The Japanese camera blog Nokishita reported earlier that in the code of a new Nikon website there is a timer that counts down to August 23 .
