Download PeaZip 6.7.2

Version 6.7.2 of PeaZip has been released. This archiving program is made available under an open source license, and downloads are available for Windows and Linux. The program aims to distinguish itself from the competition by specializing in safety. Encrypting data is therefore one of the main functions of the proprietary system pea format. PeaZip can create 7z, bz2, gz, paq/lpaq, pea, quad, tar, upx and zip files, and extract various file formats including ace, arj, cab, deb, iso, lha , rar and rpm. The following changes and improvements have been made in this release:

• In Help > About screen were added buttons to quickly remove UNACE and UNRAR plugin, if installed, which are based on closed source software and available as separate add-ons

• Tabs were made more visible in extraction and archiving screens, launcher, etc

Extraction and archiving

• When multiple tasks are running, current and overall progress bars are both shown on the bottom of the launcher window
• Launcher window can now be sent in background to system tray
  • tray icon shows progress of current task or tasks list
  • tray icon context menu allows to pause and stop current task(s), and explore input and output path
