Klocman software has released version 3.6 of Bulk Crap Uninstaller. Released under an open source license, this program can be used to remove several programs and Windows Store apps from your computer at once. It first performs the standard uninstall procedure and then it scans the computer for leftover shortcuts and registry keys to remove them as well. Afterwards, external programs such as CCleaner can also be started. Finally, it also includes a start-up manager, which can be used to disable programs that start with Windows. The changelog for this release shows the following changes and improvements:

  • Dialog to close running apps during junk removal.
  • Detection of Windows Error Reporting junk.
  • Detection of HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Tracing junk.
  • Detection of \FirewallPolicy\FirewallRules junk.
  • Extra confidence to directories that will be empty after removing junk.
  • Option to still show leftover list if all items have low confidence.
  • “Task” in front of task junk paths.
  • New feedback box.

  • Junk search not scanning some subdirectories.
  • Names of some apps being set to empty.
  • Crash on invalid disabled registry startup entries.
