Download GFI MailArchiver 6 Beta 2 Build 20080813
Today, e-mail has become an integral part of society and business. One of the biggest problems, besides the well-known spam phenomenon, is how to keep the various emails received and sent over the years available. For example, to find out what was agreed or requested at the time. Constantly expanding the mail servers themselves may be a possibility, but one that is very expensive. That is why people often choose to archive ‘old’ e-mail in one way or another in separate files. For example, Outlook offers the option to save emails in pst files and Lotus Notes uses its nsf files for this. The disadvantage of this method is that the ‘old’ e-mail is only difficult to search and access and mobile services such as webmail often do not provide access to these files. A solution for this could be to no longer arrange archiving ‘client-side’, but centrally via the mail servers themselves, which archive the ‘old’ e-mails to cheaper database or storage servers. GFI is developing its Mailarchiver application for this purpose, which focuses on environments with Microsoft Exchange 2003 and 2007. For more information about this application, please refer to this page† The developers recently released the second beta version of GFI Mailarchiver 6 with the following list of changes:
