Download TechPowerUp Radeon Bios Editor 1.24

Spread the love

Version 1.24 of Radeon Bios Editor was released on the TechPowerUp forum on Tuesday. This program is to ATI video cards what NiBiTor is to Nvidia video cards and makes it possible to adjust the bios of the video card to your own preference. In this way it is possible, for example, to permanently write overclocking settings to the card. The advantage of this is that the correct settings are immediately active when the computer is switched on, so that they are independent of the operating system and separate overclocking programs. Below you can find what has changed since the previous entry in the Meuktracker:

Changes in version 1.24

  • Added 58×0 and 5970 GPU voltage control. I’d like to express my gratitude to VuurVOS who made this possible.
  • Added memory voltage control where available (ie all cards that utilize a VT1165 in order to control memory voltage, such as 4890, 5870 and 5970 [as far as I know]).
  • Added GPU voltage control for cards utilizing a L6788A chip. Most 4770s and 5770s use them. Hey, better late than never! 🙂 Unfortunately, 5670 and 5750 reference design cards can not be supported because their UP6201 chip does not support external programming.
  • Fixed subvendor display on 5xx0 cards.

Changes in version 1.23

  • Fixed “GetStringPos” bug that occurred on rare BIOSes.
  • Improved RAM and RAM interface detection.
  • Improved 5xx0 support. Still no voltage tweaking yet.
  • Added 5xx0 device IDs. Supported cards: HD 5670, HD 5750, HD 5770, HD 5850, HD 5870, HD 5970.
