Nvidia has announced a new video card that should serve as an alternative to the integrated GPUs of Intel and AMD processors. The GeForce GT 730 is still based on the Kepler architecture and equipped with 1GB DDR3 memory.

The GeForce GT 730 is built around the 28nm GK107 GPU, which is based on Kepler and is also used for, for example, the recently announced GT 740. The GT 730 is identical to the GT 740, but has lower clock speeds and slower DDR3 memory. The default clock speed is 908MHz and the reference model runs 1GB of memory at 1.8GHz.

Following the announcement, Nvidia partners are presenting their GT 730 variants. For example, MSI comes with a low-profile card, the 730K-1GD5/LP, and a model with 4GB video memory. Zotac comes with different versions, including models equipped with ddr5 memory and with passively cooled cards. Palit introduces a total of eight different versions of the map.
