Thrustmaster introduces force feedback wheel for PS4

Thrustmaster has announced the T300 RS steering wheel for the PlayStation 3 and 4. The steering wheel provides force feedback and also features the additional buttons found on a DualShock 4 controller.

The 1.2kg T300 RS features an 11″ detachable wheel that uses Thrustmaster’s Quick Release system. The wheel’s rotation angle is adjustable from 270 to 1080°. The PS4 buttons PS, Share and Options are in placed in the middle of the steering wheel.To shift gears, two so-called paddle shifters are present, these are made of metal and 13 cm long.

Thrustmaster claims the T300 RS gives the rider improved feedback thanks to a new brushless force feedback motor. Furthermore, the manufacturer mentions Heart or Halleffect Accurate Technology, in which a contactless magnetic sensor offers a control accuracy of 16bit, or 65,536 discrete values.

The two pedals for accelerating and braking are also made of metal. According to the manufacturer, the pedals are adjustable in height and spacing with six different positions per pedal. If desired, the brake pedal offers increasing resistance when depressed. The T300 RS will go on sale August 15. The suggested retail price is EUR 369.99.
