Oppo posts teaser for announcement ‘small’ smartphone with rotating camera
The Chinese manufacturer Oppo has posted a teaser for the presentation of what will probably be an ‘N1 Mini’. According to the drawing in the teaser, the smartphone will have a rotating camera, allowing users to use the camera for both selfies and regular photos.
Oppo says in the Weibo-posted teaser that it wants to share something “small” on May 30. The drawing shows a device with a rotating camera. It is unclear whether the opening next to the primary camera module is an LED flash or a second camera module.
Although the Android smartphone would be called ‘N1 Mini’, it is probably not small, GforGames mentions. The phone would have a 5″ screen, which is much smaller than the 6″ screen of the regular N1, but is the same size as that of, for example, the Nexus 5.
That screen would have a resolution of 1280×720 pixels and run on an octacore processor from MediaTek or Samsung. The smartphone would come in versions with and without 4G support. Where and when Oppo will present the device on Friday is still unknown.
Oppo, the manufacturer of the Find 5 and new Find 7 and Find 7a, released its large N1 smartphone in December last year. Custom rom CyanogenMod is preinstalled on the device.
