Spotify extends Windows Phone app to browse, discover and radio
Spotify will roll out an update to its Windows Phone app on Tuesday that will make features such as browsing, discovering and radio available to paying Spotify users. The company makes this known via its website.
The features make discovering new music easier according to Spotify. The features have been available on Windows, OS X, iOS and Android for some time, but are now also coming to the Windows Phone app thanks to the update. In addition, the company has added the radio function. However, the library function has not yet been incorporated into the app.
Furthermore, the design has been adjusted so that the app looks more streamlined in the words of Spotify. By the way, only paying Spotify users can use the Windows Phone app. In versions of the Spotify app for other mobile platforms, users without a premium subscription can listen to music in shuffle mode, but this is currently not possible in Windows Phone.
