Pictures of Galaxy S Tab 10.5″ tablet with amoled screen come online
Images have surfaced of a new Samsung tablet that features a 10.5″ AMOLED screen. The design of the tablet is very similar to that of the Galaxy TabPro 10.1, which was released earlier this year by the Korean manufacturer.
Earlier this week, specifications were announced for Samsung’s new tablet series, which would include an 8.4″ and 10.5″ model. In the meantime, Sammobile has also published some photos of the new 10.5 “Galaxy Tab S tablet. The design is not at all striking; the tablet strongly resembles recent tablets from the manufacturer. However, the tablets do have an AMOLED display with a resolution of 2560×1600 pixels.
The photo clearly shows the physical home button. Samsung has integrated a fingerprint scanner into it, something the company already did with the Galaxy S5. The sensor can be used, for example, for unlocking the tablet and making PayPal payments.
On the back, Samsung has again used plastic to emulate the feel and look of leather. There are also two holes on the back. According to Sammobile, these will serve as connectors for a special cover.
The Galaxy Tab S tablets get an octacore Exynos 5420 soc in which a Mali T628 GPU is integrated. There would be 3GB of RAM. The front camera offers a 2.1-megapixel resolution, while the rear has an 8-megapixel camera. The photos also show that Samsung’s Magazine UX will return. It is not yet known when the tablets will be released on the market and what the prices will be.
