Clear images of Amazon smartphone appear online
Images of Amazon’s smartphone have reappeared, which have been rumored for some time. This time, the smartphone is clearly visible, which makes it clear that the housing has rounded corners and there is an Amazon logo on the back.
The image was put online by BGR, which previously also obtained images of the Amazon smartphone. It is the first time that the device is clearly visible. It is clear that the housing has rounded corners and that the home button resembles what Samsung has built into its Galaxy S devices. The Amazon logo can be seen on the back. The image is a render and would be intended for internal use within Amazon for graphic designers, BGR suggests.
Earlier images showed the Amazon smartphone with a case around the housing. As a result, the design of the device was not easy to view. However, BGR was already able to report that the Amazon device will have a 4.7 “screen with a resolution of 1280×720 pixels. An unspecified Snapdragon soc from Qualcomm runs in the housing and there would be 2GB of ram. Amazon provides. the device probably comes from a heavily modified version of Android with its own application store.
The most notable thing about the Amazon smartphone has to be its 3d functionality. Rumor has it that a 3D interface will be displayed that can be seen without glasses. Infrared cameras would be used for the required technology, which can track the position of the user’s head and eyes in relation to the screen.
Amazon is likely to announce its smartphone sometime in the coming months. It is not clear whether the device will also come to Europe. It is also not known what has to be paid for the phone. Amazon would like to provide a special data bundle with the smartphone, but this is probably only intended for American customers.
