Scarlet makes interactive TV with 122 channels available in a basic package
Internet provider Scarlet reports that its ADSL, VDSL and fiber optic customers can now purchase interactive TV services. Scarlet offers digital TV with standard 122 channels in the basic package, 28 of which are in HD quality.
Scarlet provides internet speeds of up to 20Mbit/s via ADSL and 50 to a maximum of 80Mbit/s with VDSL connections. In addition, the isp is active on Reggefiber’s fiber optic networks, selling packages up to 500Mbit/s. If a customer has at least a download speed of 12Mbit/s, he can choose to purchase the interactive TV service.
Scarlet’s iptv package consists of 122 channels, 28 of which are in HD quality. The number of channels is considerably higher than the average cable subscriber receives in the basic package, although it is less than with satellite providers such as CanalDigitaal. Furthermore, 58 stations can be watched via a tablet app, Missed Broadcast is available and 114 radio stations can be listened to.
Scarlet sells the iptv package with so-called Family subscriptions that, depending on the available speed, cost 54.95 to 69.95 euros per month. In addition, the isp provides ‘VIP installation’ for new and switching customers, in which a technician connects everything in the house, including modem installation, laying cabling and setting up TVs, tablets and other equipment. The provider also supplies SIM cards with which subscribers can make 100 minutes of mobile calls per month.
