An image of the back of the rumored LG G3 smartphone has surfaced online. It shows that LG is planning to build in buttons on the back, just like on the G2. There also appears to be a fingerprint scanner.

The image in question was posted online by GSM Arena, but it’s unclear where it came from. If the image is real, the LG G3 will have buttons on the back of the case, similar to the G2. Compared to the predecessor, the buttons on the presumed G3 seem to be slightly flatter. This is probably supposed to ensure that the buttons are pressed by accident less often.

In addition to buttons for operation, there is also an unspecified sensor on the back. Earlier there were rumors that LG is planning to build a fingerprint scanner on the back. However, it remains unclear whether the sensor shown is intended for this. Competitor Samsung built a heart rate sensor on the back of the recently launched Galaxy S5.

At the same time, GSM Arena discovered pictures of suspected cases for the G3. These have cutouts on the back that correspond to the location of the buttons. That makes it plausible that the image of the housing of the LG G3 is real.

Details of the specifications of LG’s future top model have already been released. Reportedly, the device has a 5.5″ screen with a resolution of 1440×2560 pixels. The housing should be waterproof and the camera probably has 13 megapixels. LG will probably build in its own Odin octacore. LG will probably announce the G3 next month. at.
