Rumor: Amazon to announce smartphone with 3D effects in June
Amazon plans to announce its own smartphone with 3D capabilities in June. The device should then hit the market in September. There have been rumors for some time about Amazon’s own smartphone.
Amazon is rumored to have already shown several prototypes to developers, The Wall Street Journal reported citing its usually well-informed sources. No images of the smartphone in question have yet come out. The sources of the American business newspaper report that Amazon plans to announce its own smartphone in June, and then release it sometime around September.
In addition, The Wall Street Journal confirms that the Amazon smartphone can display 3D images, something that has been rumored several times. The 3D effect would be achieved by cameras mounted on all corners of the housing. The smartphone could follow the user’s eyes, in order to create a hologram-like image; this gives users a 3d experience without having to put on special glasses.
There have been rumors for a long time about Amazon’s own smartphone. However, the company has always denied working on this. However, due to the continuous flow of rumors, an Amazon device seems to be becoming more and more plausible.
