Download Driver For nVidia ForceWare 158.42 beta

Dragunov has seen on the nVidia site that there are new Vista drivers for the GeForce 8800 video cards appeared. The new drivers have been given version numbering 158.42 and have a beta label. Nvidia has compiled the drivers for Windows Vista (55.7MB) and Windows Vista x64 (68.2MB) and bring many improvements. More information about the GeForce 8800 graphics cards can be found in the documents ‘Sparkle GeForce 8800 GTX and GTS tested’, ‘Sparkle Caliber GeForce 8800 GTX tested with Peltier cooling’ and ‘ATi Radeon HD 2900 XT review’. These reviews not only put the high-end cards from nVidia to the test, but also pit the 8800 cards against ATi’s flagship, the HD 2900 XT. We can already tell you that nVidia has not yet been knocked off the throne. In version 158.42 beta, the developers working on ForceWare have made performance improvements for 3d programs and some compatibility fixes for games and applications, among other things:
