Google will soon release Android 4.4.3 and add payments to Now
Google is said to be planning to release Android 4.4.3 soon, an update that mainly involves bug fixes. In addition, there should be an update for Google Now. Users would get reminders for paying bills.
That is according to Android Police, which is often the first to have information about new Android releases and Google services. According to the site, there is no release date for Android 4.4.3 yet, but it would be released in the near future. This mainly concerns bug fixes, including to the camera, bluetooth, wifi and mobile internet connection. In addition, random reboots must be prevented.
At the same time, Google would also be working on an update for the Now search and information system. According to Android Police, bill payment reminders are included. In addition, a link would be added to pay the bill online. It is unclear which companies and countries will be supported upon release. Android Police made a mock-up of what the interface would look like.
Earlier there were rumors that Google will add inferred events to Now: for example, calendar appointments are automatically made based on information that is obtained from elsewhere. Google is also reportedly working on contact-specific reminders: for example, a user can ask Now when he has an appointment with a certain contact.
In addition to the relatively small Android 4.4.3 update, Google is said to be working on a major update for the mobile operating system. This new version would revolve around security. At the same time, Google is also working on a version of Android intended for wearables such as smartwatches.
