Google and Amazon are withdrawing Apple Watch apps from the App Store

Apps from Amazon and eBay and for example Google Maps no longer support Apple Watch. These tech companies have withdrawn their apps from the Apple Watch App Store without any announcement or explanation.

Google is said to have discontinued support for Google Maps for the watchOS operating system a few weeks ago. Recent updates to the apps from Amazon and eBay make no mention of support for Apple Watch. The Tripadvisor app has also been removed from the App Store, which already happened at the beginning of February.

According to AppleInsider, the fact that the discontinuation of support for Apple Watch has largely gone unnoticed is a sign that the apps were not used much. The website has asked Google, Amazon and eBay to comment on the removal of watchOS support, but has not yet received any response.
