A leaked trailer for Star Wars Battlefront II shows in-game footage showing elements from the single-player campaign and multiplayer battles on land and in space. The trailer also features footage of Yoda, Darth Maul, Kylo Ren and Rey.

Where predecessor Star Wars Battlefront had to do without a single player campaign, it is present in Battlefront II. EA announced this in February. The trailer shows images of a single player campaign, in which a voiceover can be heard calling for ‘vengeance on the emperor’. That suggests that the campaign is set in the period after the events of Return of the Jedi. The campaign is likely to follow a female Imperial stormtrooper.

The trailer shows images with all kinds of characters and scenes from all eras of the Star Wars story. In the images, the planet Hoth and Starkiller Base seem to pass by. Also on display are tauntauns, AT-ATs, TIE Fighters and X-Wings. The images seem to suggest that the multiplayer battles will take place in space, in the air and on land.

In late March, publisher Electronic Arts, along with developers DICE, Criterion and Motive, announced that the trailer would be released on April 15 during the Star Wars Celebration, an event being held April 13-16 in Orlando, Florida. The trailer leaked a few days early.

EA previously announced that the publisher will show a playable version of the new Star Wars Battlefront game during its EA Play event prior to the E3 game fair. That event will take place June 10-12 in Hollywood.

A release date is not shown in the trailer. The game is likely to be released later this year for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
