Windows 10 contains references to Cortana speakers

There are indications that Microsoft will integrate speakers with Cortana with Windows 10. There is a setup page in Windows 10. So far, only Harman Kardon has announced a speaker with Microsoft’s digital assistant in it.

The page can be found in a “devices” section of Cortana’s interface, Windows Central claims. The page displays the text “set up your new Cortana speaker” and a buy button, which currently leads to Microsoft’s home page.

Harman Kardon first released information about the first speaker with Cortana integration at the end of last year. The existence of the page in Windows 10 indicates that Microsoft has big plans for speakers that include its digital assistant.

Speakers with digital assistants from other companies have been around for several years now. Amazon was the first with its Echo speaker, which includes its own digital assistant Alexa. Google introduced Home last year, in which its Assistant can be found.
