Posters Show Destiny 2 Coming September 8

Two photos of Destiny 2 posters have surfaced online showing the game’s release date. The game will be released on September 8 this year, before which time a beta will take place. It’s probably only accessible to PS4 users.

On Thursday, photos of the poster appeared on Imgur and an Italian website. Both photos show the release date and there appears to be a PlayStation logo in the top right corner. The poster appears to be intended to announce a beta and due to the PlayStation logo, the early version of the game is expected to only be playable on Sony’s console. According to Eurogamer, that beta will take place in June.

It was already known that Activision wants to release Destiny 2 this year, but the publisher has not yet officially given a release date. The appearance of the poster in two different places seems to indicate that more information about the game will be released soon.

When the game comes out on September 8, that will be just under three years after the release of Destiny. That game came out on September 9, 2014. The first part appeared for the Xbox One and PS4 and the predecessors of those consoles.
