Download Firewall 0.8 Beta 2

To configure and manage a firewall that includes net filter/iptables you can use the Firewall program. This firewall makes life a little easier for a system administrator by taking the complexity out of configuring the net filter. Via the interface you can clearly indicate rules, hosts, groups, zones, interfaces and services and read the log files in real-time. For an overview of a number of screenshots, we refer you to this page. The developers have released Firewall 0.8 Beta 2 with the following list of changes:

Version 0.8 beta 2:

• Add an option to not drop invalid packets. Close #100.
• Update default samba service. Close #103.
• Patch by Matthijs Kooijman to make permission handling of Vuurmuur config files configurable. Close #88.
• Move over connection killing to use libfirewall_exec_command. Fix #98. Add audit logging to killed connections as well. Fix #97.
