The first beta release of version 10.10 of the Opera web browser was released on Wednesday. Version 10.10 is, in short, version 10 of Opera plus Unite. This offers the possibility to exchange files and chat with other Opera users, but was not yet ‘mature’ enough to be included with version 10. In version 10.10 Unite comes with 6 different applications and additional applications can be downloaded from the Opera website. Below is the full changelog for this release:

Opera Software today released the beta version of Opera Unite, available in Opera 10.10 beta. Opera Unite is a novel technology platform that shakes up the old client-server computing model of the Web. Opera Unite turns any computer into both a client and a server, allowing it to interact with and serve content to other computers directly across the Web.
