Samsung brings sturdy smartphone Galaxy XCover 4S to the Benelux
Samsung will bring the Galaxy XCover 4s to the Benelux at the end of June. Compared to the previous version, this sturdy smartphone has a new 16-megapixel camera and a faster processor. The phone has a suggested retail price of 259 euros.
In terms of other specifications, the XCover 4s is very similar to its predecessor, the XCover 4. For example, according to Samsung, the new phone still has a 5 “screen with a resolution of 1280×720 pixels and it has a removable battery with a capacity of 2800mAh. 4s has more memory with 3GB and with 32GB it also gets twice as much storage capacity compared to the XCover 4. In addition, there is room for an SD card.Samsung uses a 5-megapixel sensor for the front camera. an Exynos 7885 with eight processor cores running at 1.6GHz.The device is 14.6×7.3cm in size and 9.7mm thick.
The phone is intended for ‘people who work or exercise in extreme environments’ and is dust and water resistant according to the IP68 certification. This means that the phone must be able to last for half an hour in a freshwater depth of up to 1.5 meters and the phone can withstand dust and sand. The phone has also been tested according to the MIL-STD 810G standard of the US military.
Like its predecessor, the XCover 4s gets an XCover button. This allows users to call up a favorite app, such as a push-to-talk or a flashlight app. By double-clicking the Home button, users can also take photos with the 16-megapixel camera on the back of the phone. The Samsung Galaxy XCover 4s comes with Android Pie and will be available at the end of June for 259 euros.
