Download LAV Filters 0.69

Version 0.69 of the LAV Filters has been released. The LAV Filters are a collection of open source DirectShow filters that allow the most common formats of audio and video to be played in a media player of your choice. It is part of the K-Lite Codec Pack and the Combined Community Codec Pack, among others. There are also media players, such as Media Player Classic – Home Cinema and VLC Media Player, which already have it on board as standard. The following changes and improvements have been made in this release:

LAV Splitter

• NEW: Support for extracting HDR metadata from YouTube HDR VP9 streams
• Fixed: Reading MKV files could crash when encountering tags for unknown or disabled streams

LAV Videos

• NEW: Support for 10-bit UtVideo
• NEW: MagicYUV decoding support
• NEW: Experimental support for CineformHD decoding
• Fixed: Converting 12-bit 4:4:4 YCbCr to RGB32 would result in a garbled image
• Fixed: Decoding certain H.264 streams could drop a few frames at the start of playback

LAV Audio

• NEW: DTS Express (LBR) decoding support
