ESA brings E3 back in 2023 and joins Reedpop as co-organizer
The E3 games show returns in June 2023. Reedpop, which is known for the PAX fairs, the Star Wars Celebration and New York Comic Con, is organizing the event together with the ESA. E3 will be held again at the Convention Center in Los Angeles in 2023.
The Entertainment Software Association and Reedpop made Thursday familiar that the Electronic Entertainment Expo will return to the Convention Center in the second week of June 2023. The organizations did not discuss a possible hybrid variant, which ESA CEO Stan Pierre-Louis recently talked about. The ESA and Reedpop will announce more in the coming months about the further details of the event.
The companies have also announced that from the end of 2022 media can register via a more secure registration tool. The ESA promised to improve after it became known in August 2019 that data of more than 2,000 journalists had been leaked.
The Electronic Entertainment Expo was first held in 1995 and is one of the longest-running and best-known games fairs in the world. The event provided a series of game announcements every year through 2019, but due to the corona crisis, E3 was not organized in physical form for the last three years. In 2020 and 2022, the fair was completely canceled, while in 2021 only an online variant was held.
