Photos show Sigma 14mm f/1.8 and 135mm f/1.8 lens for DSLRs

Photos of four new Sigma lenses for SLRs have surfaced online. It concerns a 14mm f/1.8, 135mm f/1.8, a 24-70mm f/2.8 and a 100-400mm f/5-6.3. The two zoom lenses have optical image stabilization.

The Japanese Nokishita blog has put the photos online. It is expected that Sigma will officially announce the glassware at the CP+ photo fair, which kicks off on Wednesday in Japan. The photos show the four lenses with Sigma SA mount and they are shown in combination with the mirrorless Sigma SD cameras. Usually Sigma also releases the SA lenses with Canon EF and Nikon F mount.

From the naming it can be concluded that all four lenses are suitable for use in combination with full-frame cameras. The bright 14 mm and 135 mm with a maximum aperture of f/1.8 are part of the Sigma Art series, as is the new 24-70 mm f/2.8 with OS image stabilization. Sigma ranks its best-performing lenses in that series. The 100-400mm lens is part of the Contemporary series, with which Sigma targets the enthusiastic amateur photographer.
