Danish Counter-Strike: Global Offensive team Astralis has signed a sponsorship deal with German car manufacturer Audi. The e-sports organization is reportedly receiving an amount of almost 700,000 euros from Audi.

The founder of Astralis, Frederik Byskov, calls the sponsorship deal with a party like Audi, which has no further relationship with online gaming or e-sports, a confirmation of the appreciation of the world of e-sports. It is not officially known what amount the agreement concerns. Sources familiar with one of the parties involved cite an amount of almost 700,000 euros, according to The Daily Dot.

Astralis is the most famous Counter-Strike: Global Offensive team in Denmark. It is one of the teams competing in the 2017 Eleague Major, a major CS:GO tournament that starts on Sunday.

Two weeks ago, it was announced that another major company, credit card company Visa, has signed a 2017 sponsorship deal with e-sports organization SK Gaming. Reportedly, it would be a sponsorship amount that is comparable to the sum that Astralis receives from Audi. German SK Gaming includes teams for multiple games such as CS:GO, League of Legends and Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft.
